The past few weeks has been so busy! I labored through midterms, frantically ran important errands between work and school, started working on a huge project with a good friend, got an awful cold for a few days, and finally had my 21st birthday yesterday! This week should be the last super-busy one in this clump, so once I'm through, I can get back to some drawing @__@

As for my birthday, it wasn't anything crazy. I celebrated at home with my family, since it was also Mother's Day. Dinner, cake, and a shot of the peach schnapps brought me was nice :3 It was a bummer I wasn't feeling too well though...I felt sick and went to bed early..not even from drinking, haha.

I would recommend watching the scraps in addition to the art of folks here on DeviantArt...you can see some pretty neat things. Some of the artists I watch post WIPs (it's fascinating to see how they go about their artwork) or random sketchbook dumps (some of which can be really entertaining...I know posted sketches of Yu-Gi-Oh characters in a more realistic style than anime a while back, and it was fun to see XD).

On that note, I just posted a piece in my scraps for , showing some ideas I have for the request I owe her from 3 years ago, before we both stopped showing up here XD It's at [link] so I can know how you want me to draw it for you! :3 Anyone else is welcome to look at it too, though it's in really rough form, being conceptual in nature

Finally been more motivated again :3 A nice trip to Ben Franklin's really got me jazzed. The store was 90% random craft and scrapbook junk, but in the tiny little artist's corner, they had some real treasures, including Copic pens! I bought a set of 9 inking pens, and they are amazing ^_____^ There are 7 regular thin tips ranging from 1mm to 0.03 o___o so tiny...and then 2 brush tips!

Nothing I'm posting today involves them, however....I just installed my tablet on my laptop, since I still haven't gotten around to reformatting my poor PC. Once I have done more with the Copics (and some watercolor ), I will scan some traditional media pieces. But I think I will go back to working on digital media as well, since I may have the chance to get a copy of a Creative Suite in order to collaborate on a project with an old friend of mine. We'll see how that goes

If anyone reads this, feel free to ask for requests...I always have trouble deciding what to work on for a piece, so I don't mind practicing on any ideas thrown at me right now XD

and I went to SakuraCon yesterday (Friday)! We saw the Penny Arcade panel and got to meet them at their booth. I got a shirt and a poster hand signed and rolled by them :3 I also met at his art booth, and he was really cool ^__^ If you haven't checked out his great PhotoShop video tutorials, go to his journal and follow the links. He really knows that program inside-out.

Other than that, things were kinda meh at the con, since I'm sure most of the good stuff is happening today XD But I have to work. Oh well.

My mom and sister are in Japan right now. I'm jealous But I'd rather go with my man anyways

As far as art goes, I have been unmotivated to do much of anything over this break...I will try to post something this weekend, and hopefully will get back in the groove of things soon. I'm researching for what I hope will be a very cool project...But it's a secret for now.

gave me a neat brush pen for inking, and I LOVE IT. I have been inking a lot of my recent sketches with it. Once the quarter ends, I can practice even more and post more too!

I also bought a neat sketchbook with brown pages :3 That will be fun for working with colors, kind of in the way does. She's one of my art heroes on here

Just bought an iPod to replace my dead Creative Zen MicroPhoto. Creative MP3 players = crash central.
